Rainy Day Activities For Kids

Rainy days can be miserable, especially if you have children! Nothing is worse than having rambunctious children locked in their rooms all day. It's time for you to think outside the box when bike rides and the park are not an option. Are you feeling like you have tried every rainy-day activity you can think of? We have a few more for you and your kids to keep you busy!

1Movies Who doesn’t love a good TV series or movie? A rainy day is the perfect day to snuggle up with your blanket and a bowl of popcorn. You can choose a family favourite or the latest release list. Whatever you do, ensure it is engaging and appropriate for everyone. Your living room can be transformed into a movie theatre with surround sound speakers, blackout shades and popcorn.

2Games: Board games, puzzles, and charades all make great activities for getting a rainy-day party off to a good start. Reintroduce classics such as Monopoly or Checkers to teach your children the rules. Puzzles can be a fun activity for large families. They combine learning and fun. Charades can be a fun and expressive way to get your children thinking outside the box. They will also make you laugh with their laughter.

3)Cooking/Baking Nothing is better than baking and cooking with mom and dad. Children love to be able to enjoy their creations. You can start small with cookies, but you can go a step further and make brownies. This is a great time to teach your children to work together and to carefully read the instructions. We all know what happens if the measurements don't match!

These are some fun activities for children to make the most of a rainy day. Remember, parents are all in your shoes!
